Cortona Week 1991

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

For thirty editions, Cortona Week took place in a former monastery on a Tuscan hillside with the support of ETH Zurich. Pier Luigi Luisi founded and directed it until he retired from ETH in 2003. Reinhard Nesper, ETH Prof of Chemistry led it until 2014, followed by Gerd Folkers, ETH Prof of Pharmaceutical Chemistry from 2015 to 2017. Each edition took up a question of its time: Perception. Utopia & Science. Metamorphosis. Borders & Limits. Beauty. Non Local. I. Reproducibility. Uncertainty & Serendipity. Concepts on the Move.
