Privacy
This notice explains, in plain language, what happens to information you give us through this website. It is a draft: the Association is reviewing it, and the sections that require confirmed detail say so rather than guess.
What information the forms collect
The membership form collects your name, email address, city and country, chosen membership category and anything you choose to write to us. The contact form collects a topic, your name, an optional organisation, your email address and your message. The membership payment page collects a name or membership reference and your chosen category and method.
The website itself sets no tracking identifiers and keeps no copy of what you type. Forms are sent only when you submit them.
Why it is collected
To reply to you, to process a membership application through the board and the General Assembly, to match a payment to a member, and to keep members informed about editions and the Association’s affairs. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell or share it for anyone else’s purposes.
Which service providers receive it
Sending a form and taking a payment involve technical service providers, for example a form-handling service, an email provider and a payment provider. The specific providers will be named here once the Association’s arrangements are final. Until they are named, this section is deliberately incomplete rather than inaccurate.
How long it is retained
Membership and accounting records are kept for as long as Swiss association and accounting law requires. Retention periods for correspondence will be stated here once they have been set and reviewed; we will not publish a number we have not decided.
Rights under the Swiss FADP and GDPR
You may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to a particular use, and ask for a copy of what you have given us. If you are in the EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you these rights; in Switzerland, the revised Federal Act on Data Protection does. Write to us and we will act on your request.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no analytics and no marketing cookies. Nothing you do here is measured, profiled or shared with an advertising network. Because the site sets no non-essential cookies, there is no cookie banner to click away.
Payments
Payment card details are handled entirely by the payment provider. They are never seen, processed or stored by this website. If you pay by bank transfer, your bank passes the usual transfer details to the Association’s account.
Historical photography and image-removal requests
This site publishes documentary photographs from four decades of Cortona Week. Anyone pictured may ask for a photograph to be removed. Use the contact form and choose the topic “Image removal request”, describing the image and where it appears. We will remove it while we look into it.
Contact for privacy questions
Write to the Association with any question about this notice or about your data, and the board will answer.
