In memoriam
Pier Luigi Luisi, 1938–2025
Pier Luigi Luisi founded Cortona Week in 1985 and shaped it over the next four decades. He was Professor of Macromolecular Chemistry at ETH Zurich and later Professor of Biochemistry at Università Roma Tre. His research ranged from enzymes in apolar solvents to the origins of life.
Pier Luigi Luisi passed away on 26 August 2025. His wish was for Cortona Week to continue.
